My Collection

As of today (3/19/2013), I own 547 bottles of nail polish. This is not including top coats, base coats, stamping polishes, polishes I made myself, etc. I store most of my nail polish on display racks.
This is my main polish rack. It's made out of wood and painted black. I took a picture from the side because there's a mirror on the backboard of this rack and you could see me in the reflection! This one holds ~150 bottles. I use it to store my China Glaze, OPI, Butter London, and Enchanted polishes.
Here's a closer shot of one of the shelves. You can see that the rack has two tiers. The polishes are kept on the shelves with plexiglass. I wish I could give you a link for acquiring your own, but this one was made for me by my boyfriend's father and it is one of a kind. If you're looking to make your own, Jonochi at Just Add Polish has a great DIY rack design that you can easily follow.
Below the wooden rack, I have two styrofoam racks placed next to each other. They're not nearly as pretty as the wooden one, but they serve their purpose! Here's the top half of both racks. As you can see, I also use the top of them to store some polishes. Thes top half of these racks is used for storing my A Englands, Color Clubs, Cirques, Deborah Lippmanns and Zoyas.
And here is the bottom half! I use this for the remainder of my Zoyas, Nubars, Juleps (gotta love well you can pack those together), Illamsquas, and Essies.
I keep my nail art supplies and the rest of my polishes in this 6-drawer Alex from Ikea. The first three drawers aren't as tall as the bottom three, so I use those to store my supplies and shorter bottles.
Here's the first drawer. Here is where I keep my brushes, scissors, tape, stamping plates, tape, stripers, stickers, etc.
In the second drawer, I keep my stamping kit along with all my base/top coats and nail treatments. It's sort of in disarray, but it works well enough!
The third drawer contains my shorter bottles that I don't have room to display. This is where I store Deborah Lippmann minis, Ciate minis, Model's Own, and some Essies.
And here's the last drawer I use for storing my polish! I haven't amassed enough polish to fill up any of the drawers (yet). This drawer contains Catherine Arley, HITS, Nails Inc, Orly, Misa, and most of the indie brands that I own. Phew! Now you all know way too much about my polish hoarding habit! I hope this helps someone figure out how to store their polish.
