Color Club Halo Hues Spring 2013 Swatches and Review

Hey everyone, I hope you can forgive me for not posting yesterday. After arriving from the airport, I did not have sufficient time to prepare a post. But enough excuses, polish time!

I'm going to take a break from the 31 Day Challenge again today to show you a lovely collection I received in the mail yesterday! I was taken aback when I saw that Color Club had released another set of amazing linear holos, and really surprised that they haven't been getting more attention, because let me tell you, they really deserve it! The collection consists of six new shades, and they're a lot more interesting than the six pastels they released last year!

For the sake of not being redundant, all of these swatches are done with two coats of polish and one layer of top coat. The consistency on all of them was amazing. No streaking, no lumping, and no special base coat required. They paint like a regular, high-quality polish. And they're really holographic.

Sorry about the lack of shade pictures on the last two polishes. By the time I got to swatching those, the sun had gone down and I was only able to get flash pictures of the polishes. Hopefully if I start doing this more often, I'll be able to paint faster and take better pictures more consistently. Then my swatches will actually be pretty! It's a work in progress.

If there are any comparisons you want done between these and other holos you believe might be similar, let me know! I have a pretty extensive collection of holographic polishes to compare.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Do you know where these are available? I'm looking on their website and I don't see these anywhere on there, only the older Halo Hues polishes.

  • I am SOOO glad someone finally took pictures of holos in the shade. All other bloggers try to get the best holo shot but no one does shade pictures! I live in India and have to pick these up online only. Since we have the sun all the time, naturally we hate it so the holo is pretty much wasted. I try to buy these only if I really like the color in the shade. These look great in the shade as well !

    1. They are very pretty colors in the shade! Sorry that I wasn't able to get shade pictures on those last two, but I assure you they are just as gorgeous as the rest!

  • These are so beautiful! To be honest, these are 100 times more awesome than the new CG Hologlams. Those look so disappointing!

    1. I'm actually going to post a comparison of the CG Hologlams, OMGs and Halo Hues. But I can tell you now, they're pretty underwhelming. :(
