This picture makes me really sad. Firstly, you can hardly even tell that the syrup effect is going on. In real life it's subtle but definitely there. Here it just looks like I fail at painting a cuticle line! The other reason I'm disappointed is that the color in the picture isn't true to the polish. This is Zoya Paloma, a plum colored jelly. My camera kept capturing it as way more red than it actually is. I tried to play around with the colors, but I couldn't get it to look right. Sorry! I think I'm gonna try this technique with Cirque Tibetan Nights...
Thanks for reading, and be sure to check out the gorgeous nails of the wonderful ladies participating in this challenge along with me!

I hate when cameras completely mess up the color :(
ReplyDeleteIt's really unfortunate! I wish I could figure out color tinting but not today D:
DeleteOoh what a fun technique! Too bad the picture didn't capture it well. I can definitely see how it would look like though! I'll have to try this out...
ReplyDeleteIt's a really cool and easy technique!
DeleteI got a new camera last month and I am still constantly taking blurry pictures >>; I've never done syrup nails before, I will have to give them a try.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping my photography skills would improve over time, but I've still got a lot to learn!
DeleteSyrup nails, now that I'm curious to try! I'm sorry it didn't turn out quite like how you were hoping, but I can't wait to see this technique when you use a different polish because the idea is really cool!
ReplyDeleteI've seen it done with a Zoya Pixie Dust polish before and it looked amazing! Maybe I'll have to try that next time!
